Dr. Thomas J. Zaydon, Jr.

PLASTIC SURGEON

Dr. Zaydon is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with more than four decades of experience in reconstructive and plastic surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University and his Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Zaydon completed his general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and
Rutgers/Monmouth Medical Center before completing his plastic surgery residency and serving as Chief Resident at Louisiana State University. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and maintains medical licensure in Florida, Louisiana, and New York. 

Dr. Zaydon has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career

Dr. Zaydon has held numerous leadership positions including Past President of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. He currently serves as a Voluntary Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and participates on multiple hospital quality and patient safety committees. An experienced lecturer, Dr. Zaydon has presented nationally and regionally on topics including burn care, facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, patient safety, and plastic surgery complications. His clinical practice focuses on reconstructive surgery, traumatic injuries, burn management, and complex soft tissue reconstruction.
